Built because someone had to.
UK tradespeople collectively pay over £500 million a year to card processors. Most of that goes to companies based in California or Dublin. Most of it is for a service that's slower than bank transfer.
Bank-to-bank payment has existed for decades, but it was clunky. Customers had to type sort codes and account numbers. Most just defaulted to card because it was easier — even when it cost the tradesperson £8.50 per invoice.
GoCardless Instant Bank Pay changed that. It uses Open Banking — your customer taps a link, opens their banking app, approves the payment. That's it. No sort codes. No card details. Money lands instantly.
We built Invoicr because we wanted a tool that puts that infrastructure in front of UK tradespeople, without dressing it up as enterprise software. No "empower your business." No "seamless workflows." Just: send the invoice. Get paid. Pay £4 not £12.50.
